Castellammare del Golfo, between land ans sea
Set in the beautiful Gulf of Castellammare, at the foot of a flourishing mountain, Castellammare del Golfo, "the diamond of western Sicily", slopes gradually down toward the sea as far as the little peninsula on which there stands an Arab-Norman castle, between two magnificent beaches of soft sand.
Castellammare is in the province of Trapani, a few kilometres from Erice, from the archeological sites of Segesta, Selinunte and Mothia, and from the airports of Palermo and Trapani.
Thanks to a precious natural heritage, made up of magnificient physical surroundings such as the "Zingaro Natural Reserve", its coast and its immediate hinterland, to a tourist harbour, to good hospitality and exceptional local cuisine, Castellammare is an important point of interest for travelers and sightseers, and a privileged destination of italian and overseas visitors.
